My Double Eagle occurred on Friday, May 30, 1980, when a scheduled round in Decatur, Illinois, was rained out in the morning and upon returning to Bloomington, the skies cleared and my group decided to play at Highland Park. On the par-5, 480-yard second hole, my driver and 3-wood shots found the hole in 2! I had turned 21 one week earlier. My witnesses were Kevin Edwards, Rick Gilbert and Howard Prevette.
